Founder
With a vision for building something meaningful, Mike founded Michael Rech Insurance Agency in 2004. He built the agency on an independent model because he saw the massive advantage it gives our clients. Instead of being locked into a single insurance brand, staying independent allows us to shop the entire market.
His nearly 30 years of experience in all walks of the insurance world makes our services streamlined, straightforward, and highly competitive. When he’s not helping clients, Mike splits his time between Arizona and Washington — traveling, collecting vintage Scorpion bicycles, and hosting dinner parties with friends and family.
Mat Kelley
Agent
After years of managing dedicated customer service in Seattle’s vibrant craft beer industry, Mat joined the team at Michael Rech Insurance Agency. He brings that same people-first, transparent approach to the agency, taking pride in helping clients protect their families, homes, and vehicles.
Growing up in the greater Seattle area, Mat has spent a lifetime outdoors—backpacking, rock climbing, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. He recently moved his family from Ballard to Bellingham and wasted no time competing in the area’s historic Ski to Sea race.
